Coach Pitch - Little League Baseball - Fall Ball
A player who is league-age 4 - 6 (use the Little League Age Calculator to determine your child’s League Age for the upcoming Spring 2027 Season) for the upcoming season. IF league-age 4-5, it is required that the player has completed a season of tee ball (either at Bartlett Little League or elsewhere).
Grade based tips: Players entering Kindergarten in the fall. Players entering Pre-K (4 yr old preschool) who have completed a season of Tee Ball.
At the Coach Pitch level, the Manager or Coach serves as the pitcher for all innings. A safety ball will be used for Coach Pitch since this will be the first-time children will be pitched to versus hitting off of a tee.
When necessary, coach may determine that a player should hit off of a tee to finish their at bat. Rosters average 6-9 players with a season featuring one practice during the week, a game on the weekend, and alternating between a second practice or game during the weekday evenings.
Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in this level of Little League. After completing a Little League volunteer application and passing a required national background check, parents may become involved in practices, and be eligible as coaches, managers, umpires, local league board members and other volunteer positions within the league.
