• LL Presidents meeting last month

  • New insurance through Little League

  • ASAP is going away and will be replaced by something similar 

  • Discussed opportunities to grow and play with/against neighboring Little Leagues

    • Streamwood LL is rebuilding and enthusiastic - will work on logistics as they have different divisions

    • South Elgin is also open to playing with us for AA and AAA - need to work out logistics. 

• Hanover park

  • Lease needs to be reviewed 

  • Briefly discussed options to renegotiate terms or remove HP from authority, but will require time/effort

  • Metropolitan Water Reclamation District would be the authority to seek intervention with. 

• Raiders Football

  • A debt of approximately $4000 owed to Bartlett Baseball by Bartlett/Midwest Raiders was discussed. 

    • Extends back to 2024 season; use of water/electricity at Ruzicka

  • No immediate action was chosen. BB leadership is seeking amicable resolution before drastic measures are pursued.

• Facility update

  • Work at the indoor facility on Hecht Drive has begun, with visible progress to be made soon. 

  • Volunteers worked all weekend and will resume Friday evening (11/7) to install remaining mounting points for ceiling panels, and hang wall netting. 

  • BIG THANK YOU to those who showed up to help!

  • Coaches and the league need to be very clear to parents that practices are closed and that we do not have space for them to sit in and watch. Also the parking, drop off and pick up are very important. WE DO NOT BLOCK THE NEIGHBORS OVERHEAD DOOR. It is clearly marked and has been a point of contention in the past. 

    • The way this works is that cars pull in from the north/west so that when they pull up the passenger side door is on the facility side. 

      • Basically turn it into a one way drive. This just makes everything uniform and smooth. Two way traffic jams it all up. 

      • Especially important as we will be rolling teams in and out at the same time. 

    • League will share a PDF map for smooth drop off/pick up prior to clinics

  • We will need to pay the 1.5x rent this month, that’s $4500+$2250=$ 6750. (First month + security deposit)

  • Finalize Rebels training schedule (9u) before opening registration for in-house winter clinics (Coach pitch - AAA+)

  • Guidance needed prior to opening the IHTT registrations

  • Grand opening party! Tentatively Dec 5th - 7:30-9:30?? For in-house kids/parents to show facility before clinics begin. 

  • Need to get a communication out ASAP regarding winter clinics 

• Little League Business

  • Discussed the desired management structure and player development path - Jack to develop a set plan in coming weeks 

    • Plan for “coaches clinic” prior to spring season beginning

  • We will open spring registration before mid-November 

    • We need to be more strict regarding late enrollment and deferred payments (Last year cost us $5k.)

  • There is a $497.25 balance to LL Intl so that we can charter this month. We need to charter so that we can pick the most appropriate insurance option. 

  • Matt has been working hard out at Koehler to prep fields for spring- Bobcat has moved A LOT of dirt

  • Wilson update…Nothing of note to report, rep has been in touch. 

  • Village grant money - discussed deferral of grant application for indoor facility - What do we want to improve at Koehler before submitting a request?

• Fields update/Travel update:

  • Wood Bat Blast - teams are signing up for May tournament

  • Discussed potential for hosting a glow-in-the-dark tournament.

    • Board leadership is okay with moving ahead if Village is okay with use of fields after 10pm.

  • Koehler Fields are ONLY to be used by members of Bartlett Baseball for baseball related activities. 

    • The fields are not a dog park- gates are locked open. The fields are not a dirt bike course. 

    • K3 is the only field that is not undergoing significant “renovation” this fall. All other fields are off limits. 

    • Discussed locking the light boxes to prevent unauthorized use of fields at night. 

  • Discussed hope to add low voltage lighting by the trees along the path to improve safety walking out of the complex at night

  • K4 needs new grass, to be seeded soon.
